Legal
Terms of Service
The rules for using this website. Short, plain, and enforceable.
1. Acceptance of these terms
This website is operated by Codebyte Ltd. (trading as CodeByte Studio), Israel. By accessing or using codebyte.co.il, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
These terms govern the website only. Client engagements are governed by separate signed agreements, which prevail over these terms in case of conflict.
2. Use of the site
The site presents our studio, services, and writing, and lets you contact us about projects. You may use it only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
3. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, design, graphics, logos, code samples, and the design system — is owned by Codebyte Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written consent, except for brief quotations with attribution.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to breach, probe, or disrupt the site’s security or infrastructure.
- Do not scrape, harvest, or mass-download content or data.
- Do not submit unlawful, defamatory, or malicious content through the contact form.
- Do not impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.
5. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Disclaimers
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Content on this site is general information, not professional or legal advice, and does not create an engagement between us.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codebyte Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site. Our total aggregate liability in connection with the site shall not exceed 100 USD. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices; following such links is at your own discretion.
9. Refund policy
All purchases made through or in connection with this site are governed by the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, and the regulations under it. Nothing in this policy derogates from rights granted to you under that law which cannot be waived.
One-off services and packages: in a distance transaction, you may cancel within 14 days of the date of the transaction or of receiving this policy document, whichever is later. Where cancellation is permitted, we may charge a cancellation fee of up to 5% of the transaction value or ₪100, whichever is lower, as permitted by law. Once work on a service has commenced, the service is non-refundable, save for your non-waivable statutory rights.
Recurring subscriptions: fees already paid for a billing period that has been served are non-refundable. Cancelling a subscription stops future billing, as described in the Cancellation Policy below. No refunds are given for partial use of a subscription period, unless required by law.
Where a refund is due, it will be returned to the original payment method within the timeframe set by law.
10. Cancellation policy
One-off services may be cancelled within the 14-day statutory window described in the Refund Policy above.
Recurring subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle: your access continues until then, and no further charges are made.
You can cancel a subscription through your account page on the site (where available), or by emailing privacy@codebyte.co.il — both channels are honoured. We will send you written confirmation of the cancellation.
11. Changes
We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always published on this page; continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of Tel Aviv shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the site.
